Was einem Wiki oft fehlt, verglichen mit einem Buch ist das Storytelling. Ein gutes Buch hat einen guten Erzähler. Man kann es von vorne bis hinten durchlesen. Konzepte werden nach und nach eingeführt - Ein Lehrpfad durch den Wiki-Garten. In einem Wiki fehlt der "Erzähler" der Geschichte, weil ein Wiki eben von vielen erzählt wird. Wiki ist eine Sammlung. Das Latex Plugin kann helfen, ein Wiki mit einem roten Faden zu versehen. Aber dies bleibt nicht ohne Probleme.
Ein Beispiel für ein Fachbuch, das als "Story" erzählt wird, ist Goldratts "Das Ziel".

There will always be critics , but I believe history has recorded that the public admires and remembers the great works of individual gifted artists , and the folly of those who allowed their vision to be coerced .
Wiki-Buch Konzepte können daher nur funtkionieren, wenn eine gemeinsame "Vision" verfolgt wird, und jemand die Einhaltung dieser Vision überwacht. Dies ist die Konstellation, in der der WikiGärtner zum Künstler wird.
